To install the latest version of ET on Windows you need to install 2.55, then patch it to 2.60. After that copy the 2.60b files in your ET directory. Download pb_et_windows.zip and follow the README.txt inside.

To install the latest version of ET on Linux download and run et-linux-2.60.x86.run.zip.
Then copy the 2.60b patch files in the ET directory. Download pb_et_linux.zip and follow the README.txt inside.

If you have trouble with sound in ET:
(no Sound or crap Sound on Linux),
the et-sdl-sound might fix this problems.
Download it and start ET with this Startscript. If the problem persists open Synaptic and install libsdl1.2debian-all (removes libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio)
